Practice, Practice, Practice

You know, I know I need to practice a lot more than I do. Right now I'd love to figure out how to nail that focus. I took my camera off of the default focus settings, and I've been trying to pick my focal points for the last couple of weeks, and I am really frustrated with my results. I did this so I could get a better in-camera crop, but I think I need to close down my aperature (although I love shooting really open) so that I can learn to get that nitty-gritty, perfect detail, and then move on from there. Anyway, I thought I'd share a couple of my practice shots...still not perfect.
