Swinging fun

While I was in Arizona this weekend we had a mini family-reunion, and when the rain stopped, we thought it would be fun to spend some time at the park. I'm only posting one for now, but I'll put out more later. I just love the joy on the faces of mom and daughter.

Senior

I'm branching out...my cousin asked me to take some senior pictures of her, so we went downtown yesterday and I'm happy with what we got. She'll probably hate some of the ones that I'm posting (because of her hair being blown by the wind), but I just adore these. I shot these all in manual (for the entire shoot), and I was really proud of myself for getting through that. Since the light is lasting longer, we ended up going out a little too early, so we had to find shady spots. I struggled with noise a little because of that.

Sorry for the overload, I'm just SUPER excited about these (if they are bad, please don't burst my bubble...yet).

Oh, and like my new logo?? I made it a few weeks ago, but decided to start using it on these pictures.

Spring Fever

Oh, can I just tell you how excited I am that the weather is getting better? We had several errands to run on Saturday and the kids were getting grumpy and just wanted to run around. We were close to Wheeler Farm, so I figured it would be fun to let take a half hour and let the kids explore. I also took a few pictures, which was VERY HARD to do with a toddler. I just don't know HOW the "real guys" (yep, the pros) do it. I have such a respect for them. I chased my 2 year old around and only got two pictures with eye contact, and neither of them were good. I tried to shoot in manual, but that just wasn't happening, so the last ten minutes I used Aperture Priority, and I still couldn't catch that little one! But here are some I enjoyed, even if it was a disaster:)

I was so excited that yesterday warmed up enough to go outside and practice some of the things I've been learning with the camera. Since my son was in trouble, and had to stay home for the evening, he was the one who got to come out with me :) I only got a few shots in since the other kids were inside, but I thought I'd share them with you, because I love them! I had fun post-processing them too, although the color may be off a little. Davis thought it would be a good idea to mess around with my monitor, and well, I'm not smart enough to get it back to normal.
